Historic Bordeaux

Less than two kilometers from our establishment are some of the most emblematic places of Bordeaux. We therefore advise you to go to one of the most essential places in Bordeaux, Place de la Bourse, with its famous reflecting pool. Continue your visit of the city with the Porte Cailhau, this monument dating from 1494, has hardly changed. Continue your discovery with the Place des Quinconces, very close to the Grand Théâtre, on this charming square, you will discover one of the symbols of the city, the "Girondins Monument", also called "Column of the Girondins". All around you will find a set of fountains. Let yourself be seduced by Bordeaux, its monuments, its districts steeped in history and its relaxed lifestyle.

For afternoons surrounded by nature, we recommend the "Parc aux Angéliques" and the "Botanical Garden", located on the right bank of Bordeaux. The Parc aux Angéliques is a true haven of peace, on the banks of the Garonne. The Botanical Garden aims to be more dynamic with activities for everyone: restaurant, workshop, guided tour, exhibition, conference, ... For an atypical visit, go to the Darwin ecosystem. This former military barracks of 20,000 m² has been completely rehabilitated, to now house a restaurant, a skate-park, an open-air museum and an urban farm.

The museums of Bordeaux

For more cultural visits, we recommend three museums, essential in Bordeaux. First, go to the Cité du Vin, this atypical architecture museum, retraces the history of wine and offers workshops, events and shows. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Bordeaux, the CAPC, open since 1973, offers a collection of 1,299 works, enough to satisfy art lovers. And finally, discover the Museum of Fine Arts of Bordeaux, discover temporary and permanent exhibitions.

The quays of Bordeaux

The banks of the right bank are wild and Natura 2000 classified. This natural area can be explored by bike or on foot. You will be able to appreciate all the sweetness of living in Bordeaux, by settling on the grass for a picnic or a lazy afternoon, as a couple, with friends or family. It is in this idyllic and bucolic setting that the Mégarama cinema, with 20 screens, is installed. Arkea arena

Only 100m from the hotel is the shuttle to reach the Arkéa Arena, in less than 10 minutes. This establishment is the new performance hall in Bordeaux. Since its official inauguration in January 2018, the hall has welcomed artists and singers from all over the world.
